Teenage Babysitter Laughs As Toddler Vapes, Posts Video On Snapchat: Cops

Two teenagers from Pennsylvania were arrested after they allegedly allowed a two-year-old child to use a vape pen. Police say the two teens, who were not identified, were babysitting the child when he found a vaping device on a nightstand. Instead of taking the device away from the toddler, they pulled out their phones and started recording as the baby boy inhaled.

The child started coughing and crying while the two girls laughed in the background. They then shared the video on Snapchat. Authorities began investigating after receiving an anonymous tip about the video.

The boy's parents did not know what happened until they were contacted by the police.

"I'm disgusted. I'm very upset. I'm in disbelief they'd even laugh or have it in reach of a child's possession," the boy's mother, who asked not to be identified, told WPXI. "I'm not trusting anybody anymore to babysit my child. I'm done. I don't even want to put him in daycare. I can't trust anybody anymore."

Authorities said the child was fine and showed no ill effects from using the device, which contained three percent nicotine. They tracked down the two girls and took them into custody. They are both facing charges of child endangerment.
