Jon Pardi Shares Reflective New Song, 'Old Hat'

Jon Pardi just released a new reflective song off his upcoming album, Heartache Medication. The new song, "Old Hat" recalls older traditions from the past that have been forgotten in modern day society. "These days they call you crazy / If you hold the door for a lady / If you don't call her 'girl' stead of 'baby' / You're out of style, obsolete," Pardi sings.

"Old Hat" follows up previously released songs from the forthcoming project including "Heartache Medication," "Ain't Always The Cowboy," "Me and Jack," and "Tequila Little Lime." Of the 14-tracks included on the new album, Pardi shares that "Old Hat" is one of his favorites.

"'Old Hat' is one of my favorite songs on the record," Pardi reveals. "I always loved the old-school tradition, open the door for a girl - this whole thing that is kind of pushed away from social media."

Heartache Medication is due out this Friday, September 27. Pardi plans to celebrate the night before during an iHeartCountry Album Release Party in New York. Fans can listen and tune in to a free video stream of the exclusive event with the country singer at 7pm on Thursday, September 26 via iHeartRadio's official YouTube channel.

If you want to catch the country star with your own eyes at a live show, you can catch him out on the road for his headlining "Heartache Medication Tour" featuring special guest Riley Green. Purchase your tickets to a show near you right here.
