High School Vandalized With Swastikas After Holocaust Survivor Visited

Days after a Holocaust survivor visited students at Newport Harbor High School in California, authorities discovered ten flyers with swastikas plastered around the school. Eva Schloss had visited the school to share her stories of the horrors of the Holocaust after an earlier act of anti-semitism - photos had gone viral that showed a group of students doing a Nazi salute and playing beer pong with the cups arranged in the shape of a giant swastika at an off-campus party.

Officials discovered the flyers and police were called to remove them. Newport Beach Police are investigating, though posting the flyers is not a crime. If students are found to be responsible they could be punished by the school.

The school's principal, Sean Boulton, issued a statement condemning the anti-semitic flyers.

"We condemn all acts of anti-semitism and hate in all their forms. We will continue to be vigilant with our stance, and the care of our students and staff," Boulton said.
